The information we gather enables us to personalize, improve and continue to operate the Services. In connection with certain aspects of the Services, we may request, collect and/or display some of your Personal Information. We collect the following types of information from our users.
When you create an Account directly via the Services, you will provide information that could be Personal Information, such as your username, password and email address. You acknowledge that this information may be personal to you, and by creating an account on the Services and providing Personal Information to us, you allow others, including us, to identify you and therefore may not be anonymous. You may also choose to create an Account by providing your LinkedIn or Facebook account login information or other third party account information (“Third Party Accounts”). By signing into the Service through or linking your Account to any Third Party Account, you permit us to access and aggregate certain information from your profiles and profiles of individuals you are connected with on such Third Party Services for use by the Service. You are ultimately in control of how much of such information is accessible to us and may exercise such control by adjusting your privacy settings on your Third Party Accounts.
If you link a Third Party Account to your Account on the Services (by signing in using your Third Party Account or otherwise), we may collect and store publicly available personal information about your contacts and friends available from those Third Party Services. This information may include their photo, name, email address, or other content you have access to when you access such profiles on those Third Party Services. You may also be able to invite other users to the Service by providing us with their personal information, such as their email address.
We may use your contact information to send you information about our Services, but only rarely when we feel such information is important. You may unsubscribe from these messages through your Account settings, although we, regardless, reserve the right to contact you when we believe it is necessary, such as for account recovery purposes.
IP Address Information and Other Information Collected Automatically:
We may receive a confirmation when you open an email from us. We use this confirmation to improve our customer service.
Information Collected Using Cookies:
We collect statistical information about how both unregistered and registered users, collectively, use the Services (“Aggregate Information”). Some of this information is derived from Personal Information. This statistical information is not Personal Information and cannot be tied back to you, your Account or your web browser.
The Services are designed to help you share information with your contacts and other third parties. As a result, some of the information generated through the Services is shared with those third parties you elect to contact or from whom you accept a contact request.
Your Activity on the Services:
The information you provide via the Services is not public by default. The Services are designed so that your profile information is shared only with those parties with whom you elect to share such information and when we suggest a connection to a user. For example, if you choose to share certain profile information with a third party contact, that party will be able to see the profile information which you elected to share. Additionally, when we send connection suggestions to users, we may share with that user your photograph, first and last name, company information, and title. When you share your profile information with a third party by electing to “contact” them, and that party accepts, you are consenting to sharing your profile information with that third party. Should you wish to terminate your “contact” with such third party, or if you terminate the Services, it is possible that, just as when you provide a business card to an individual, that third party may retain the information that you have provided to them even after you terminate such “contact” or your use of the Services.
We may also use your Personal Information, such as your contacts or connection, to suggest contacts or connections you may want to make with other users (or that other users should make with you). However, if you elect to contact via the Services a third party user with whom you are not yet connected, we will only share your name, photograph, and company (if applicable), with that user, until you and such third party become connected via the Services.
IP Address Information:

In addition, these third parties may share with us non-private, aggregated or otherwise non Personal Information about you that they have independently developed or acquired.
Email Communications with Us:
As part of the Services, you may occasionally receive email and other communications from us, such as communications relating to your Account. Communications relating to your Account will only be sent for purposes important to the Services, such as password recovery.
User Profile Information:
User profile information including your username and other information you enter may be displayed to other users to facilitate user interaction within the Services. We will not directly reveal user email addresses to other users, except to the extent you elect to do so by contacting other users through the Services.
